1. Introduction

Alpha Omega Tax Center is committed to protecting the Personal Information of prospective and current clients and website visitors. This Privacy Agreement describes how we collect, use, and safeguard information you provide through our website, tax consultation request forms, appointment scheduling page, or any other interaction with our services.

We provide tax resolution, IRS representation, unfiled-return preparation, audit defense, back-tax negotiation, and related financial services to clients in all 50 states, with offices at 2424 East South Boulevard, Montgomery, AL 36116.

We comply with applicable U.S. federal and state privacy laws, including the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA) and IRS Circular 230 standards of professional conduct. California residents should review Section 4 for additional rights.

2. What Personal Information May We Collect?

From our intake form:

  • First name and last name
  • Email address and phone number
  • State of residence
  • Tax issue type (wage garnishment, tax lien, unfiled returns, IRS audit, back taxes, business/payroll taxes, state tax issues)
  • Estimated tax debt amount (self-reported range)

From our appointment scheduling page:

  • Appointment date and time preferences
  • Contact details provided during booking

During consultation and service delivery:

  • IRS account transcripts and tax records (with your written authorization)
  • Financial information relevant to your tax situation
  • Communications via phone, email, or SMS

Automatically from website visits:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, and operating system
  • Pages visited and time spent
  • Referring URL and interaction data via cookies or similar technology

3. How Will We Use Your Personal Information?

  • To respond to your tax consultation request via phone, email, or SMS
  • To assess your tax situation and eligibility for IRS relief programs
  • To schedule and conduct your free consultation appointment
  • To pull and review your IRS transcripts (with written authorization)
  • To represent you before the IRS or state tax authorities
  • To prepare and file tax returns or other required documents
  • To process payments for services rendered
  • To send appointment reminders, status updates, and required disclosures
  • To improve our website, intake forms, and service delivery
SMS / Call Consent: By submitting our consultation form, you expressly consent to be contacted by Alpha Omega Tax Center via phone call, text message (SMS), or email. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to opt out of texts; reply HELP for assistance. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any service. Opt-in data is never shared with third parties for marketing.

4. State Consumer Privacy Notice

This section applies to residents of California (CCPA/CPRA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and other applicable U.S. states. Because Alpha Omega Tax Center serves clients in all 50 states, we apply the rights and standards described here broadly.

Tax and financial information shared in a professional representation relationship may be subject to additional confidentiality protections under IRS Circular 230 and state licensing requirements for tax practitioners.

6. PI Does Not Include

  • De-identified or aggregated information that cannot reasonably identify you
  • Publicly available information from government records
  • Information covered exclusively by other applicable federal statutes
  • IRS or state tax records handled under your signed authorization and Circular 230 requirements

8. Why We Collect PI

  • To process and respond to your tax consultation request
  • To assess your tax situation and identify available IRS or state relief options
  • To schedule and confirm your free consultation appointment
  • To pull and analyze your IRS transcripts and tax records (with authorization)
  • To represent you before the IRS or state tax authorities
  • To prepare, file, and document tax returns or related submissions
  • To send required disclosures, appointment reminders, and case status updates
  • To process payments for professional services
  • To comply with IRS Circular 230, state licensing requirements, and applicable law
  • To prevent fraud and maintain the security of our systems

9. Sharing or Selling Your PI

We do not sell your Personal Information. We do not share it with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising or marketing purposes. We may share PI only with: licensed tax professionals on our team; the IRS, state tax agencies, and government entities (as authorized by you in writing); payment processors; and technology service providers under confidentiality obligations. We may disclose PI as required by applicable law or court order.

10. Sensitive Personal Data

We collect and process the following Sensitive Personal Information:

  • Financial information: estimated tax debt amount and financial records relevant to your tax resolution case
  • Tax and government records: IRS transcripts, prior tax filings, and related notices - obtained only with your written authorization
  • Tax issue details: the nature of your IRS or state tax problem (wage garnishment, lien, unfiled returns, audit, etc.)

This Sensitive PI is used solely to assess your situation, build a resolution plan, and represent or assist you in resolving your tax matter. It is accessible only to authorized tax professionals on our team directly involved in your case. We implement appropriate physical, technical, and administrative safeguards to protect this information. We do not use Sensitive PI for marketing or advertising without your explicit written consent.

11. How Long We Retain Your PI

  • For as long as needed to deliver and document tax resolution services you engaged us for
  • Per IRS record retention requirements for tax practitioners (minimum 3 years for returns and related records; longer for certain representation matters)
  • To meet applicable state licensing and recordkeeping requirements
  • To support dispute resolution and respond to any regulatory inquiries

Consultation-only inquiries (leads who did not engage our services) are retained in our CRM for a reasonable business period, after which they are deleted or de-identified. You may request earlier deletion under Section 12.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your state of residence, you may have the right to:

  • Know - what PI we have collected, used, and disclosed about you
  • Access - a portable copy of your PI
  • Correct - inaccurate PI we hold about you
  • Delete - your PI, subject to legal exceptions including professional recordkeeping obligations
  • Opt Out - of any sale or sharing of PI (we do not sell or share PI for advertising)
  • Limit Use - of Sensitive PI beyond what is necessary for your requested services
  • Opt Out of SMS/Call - by replying STOP to any text, or by contacting us directly
  • Non-Discrimination - you will not receive inferior service for exercising your privacy rights

Note: some PI - particularly tax records and representation-related documentation - may be subject to professional retention obligations that limit deletion rights.

13. How to Exercise Your Rights

To submit a privacy rights request - including to access, correct, delete, or opt out of communications - contact us using the information in Section 16. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request to protect your information. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf, subject to identity verification.

14. Timing

We will acknowledge receipt of your privacy rights request within 10 business days. We will provide a substantive response within 45 calendar days. If we require additional time due to the complexity or volume of your request, we will notify you within the initial 45-day window and may extend our response by an additional 45 days with written notice.

15. Appeals

If we decline to act on your privacy rights request, we will provide a written explanation. You may appeal that decision by contacting us using the details in Section 16. We will respond to your appeal within 45 calendar days. If your appeal is denied, you may have the right to submit a complaint with your state Attorney General or relevant data protection authority.
